Workstation pre-requisites
The following are requirements for the correct configuration of the workstation:
- Operating system Windows 7 (64 bit) or higher
- Web browser:
- Firefox (latest version)
- Chrome (latest version)
- Webcam device (integrated or external)
- Internet connection
- Headset with microphone
- valid subscription certificate, i.e. a remote signature certificate
- possibility of reaching both links:

- recommended screen resolution:
- 1980 x 1020
- 1280 x 720
- 640 x 480
- Video: 500 kbps per stream (recommended lowest level) - 1 Mbps (recommended best level)
- RAM 8 GB
- Dual-core processor 1.6 gigahertz (GHz) or higher, quad-core processor 2.4 gigahertz (64-bit) recommended
- the use of two monitors is recommended
Software equipment
The workstation must necessarily have the following installed software:
- web browser, Firefox and Chrome are currently (the latter in its most recent version);
- WebID-Service, Infocert software that can be downloaded from the following address: https://webid.infocert.it/wbdocs/bin/webid-service.exe
Opentok Connectivity
For processes involving the use of video-recognition, check that the workstation is enabled for connectivity to OpenTok using the "Pre-call test" tool, which can be found at the following link: https://tokbox.com/developer/tools/precall/
The result of the test (performed by choosing Run Test) must be as follows:
Log recovery
The logs of the WebID-Service application can be found in the installation folder of the programme itself, which is usually:
- C:\Program Files (x86)\WebID Service\
The following types of log will be found within this directory:
- service-output.log -> application logs
- service-error.log -> exceptions logs
The log folder can also be found with Start -> Programs -> Infocert WebID Service -> Logs.
